Lucy & Michael have issues with their household staff. First with Flynn who has not properly swept out or laid the fire for their return from the opera, then Blake makes herself unpopular with improperly made beds and dusty rooms. Domestic servents who fail to meet expectations may expect to be thrashed and sure enough, both Flynn and Blake are given a severe beating, by Master and Mistress alike. Blake's punishment is particularly humiliating as she holds her drawers open, legs spread wide, while she is being beaten.
