(English) Aislin is at the hospital because her implanted defibrillator has a malfunction. It produces shocks randomly for seemingly no reason. Shy Aislin is really scared. The medical team has her undress and lay down on the bed. They place the 5 leads of ECG electrodes and start to examine her to see when her implanted defib produces a shock. They push her heart rate higher and soon more socks comes. Finally, it kicks her heart into Vfib. The med team starts the resus procedure immediately with CPR. (English) Aislin is at the hospital because her implanted defibrillator has a malfunction. It produces shocks randomly for seemingly no reason. Shy Aislin is really scared. The medical team has her undress and lay down on the bed. They place the 5 leads of ECG electrodes and start to examine her to see when her implanted defib produces a shock. They push her heart rate higher and soon more socks comes. Finally, it kicks her heart into Vfib. The med team starts the resus procedure immediately with CPR. The defibrillator charges but before the shock Aislin's implanted defibs produces a shock and it is successful. Her pulse returns. At this point a long tug-of-war starts between her malfunctioning device and the external defibrillator, with shocks from her implanted device, CPR and symptoms too. Nurse Hillary suggests resetting the implanted device with an extended shock. This has more of an effect on the patient. Finally, Aislin's heart flat lines again and the med team produces a few more cycles of resus to finally stabilize her vitals. When Aislin's pulse returns she is ready for transport to the OR to change her device. A special video with many types of defibrillations, symptoms with heavy breathing, and CPR with strong chest compressions.
