Young patient Amy is in the therapy room for an ECT. The nurses prep her for the treatment, hook her up to a heart monitor, insert an IV, put on a BP cuff and O2 mask onto her face. When she is properly relaxed the med team places head strap electrodes onto her head. They start ambu bagging her to fill her lung with O2 before the shock. A mayo pipe is also inserted into to her mouth to protect her teeth and tongue. When everything is ready Nurse Barbara starts the first shock.
