Angel Snow is having a heart attack. Fortunately for her its happening in a hospital. She is stable and looks like everything is going well. There is an IV inserted, and she is hooked up to a heart monitor with 3 leads. Suddenly she feels heavy chest pains again and shortness of breath. The Nurses return and start checking her vitals with steth, and BP. As the med team realizes something is wrong, they perform a 12 lead ECG exam on her placing the electrodes onto Angel’s chest while her breathing steadily deteriorates. Her gasping for air worsens and soon she collapses, and her heart goes vfib. The med team starts CPR and ambu bagging immediately. They remove her hospital gown and continue the resuscitation procedure, producing many rounds of CPR, ambu bagging and defibrillations. Finally her pulse returns and she starts breathing alone, but she is still unstable. The med team places an O2 mask onto her face. Following a short period of more gasping for air, poor Angel collapses, and her heart flat lines again. The medical team performs more cycles of resuscitation with deep and strong chest compression, ambu bagging and more defibrillations. They do everything they possibly can to revive this patient. Finally, following many cycles of CPR, bagging and defibrillations the patient’s pulse returns. Now she is stable. An excellent hospital resus clip.
