(English) Casey is in the OR for short routine abdominal surgery. She already has already been prepped for surgery. They place a green bouffant on her head, remove her hospital gown and lay her on the OP table. A BP cuff is placed and she it hooked up to the heart monitor with a 3 lead ECG. They place an O2 mask then a black rubber mask and she breathes deeply. She is intubated with the laryngoscope and ET tube and than she is hooked up to the respirator and her eyes covered with wet gauze. The surgeon draws the cutting lines and then they disinfection the surgery area. Everything looks goo...

They place an O2 mask then a black rubber mask and she breathes deeply. The surgeon draws the cutting lines and then they disinfection the surgery area. Everything looks good when suddenly the patient suddenly flat lines. The med team starts the CPR immediately with the surgeon having to stand on a platform to administer it they ambu bag her thru the ET tube. The defibrillator is charged but there is no response following the first round. The med team continues the resus procedure with deep and strong chest compressions. They must produce a few more cycles when the patient's pulse returns and is stable enough to proceed.
