Claire is in the hospital for a chemical stress test. First the nurses prep her for the examination. They hook her up to the 12 lead heart monitor with and BP cuff placed. After the first administration her heart rate starts increasing. Claire starts breathing faster and more deeply and her heart rate continues to increase. The med team continue monitoring her and checking her vitals. After the second administration the patient’s heart rate becomes very high and she sweats and gasps for air. They places an 02 mask onto her face and try to control her pulse but her heart rate is very irregular and soon they must start ambu bagging her as the patient’s heart flatlines. The med team starts the resus procedure immediately with fast and strong CPR and ambu bagging. The defibrillator charges but there is no any responses following the first round. The med team continues the resus procedure with many more cycles of CPR, bagging and defibrillations. They intubate the patient and continue the resus routine. Following many cycles the patient’s pulse goes back to sinus rhythm and she is ready to transport to the ICU.
