They open her shirt, check her BP and listen to her lungs and heart with steths. They place an O2 mask onto her face. Soon they help her to remove her bra and socks too. They hook her up to the heart monitor and soon realize she has a venticular tachycardia and they must cardiovert her. The girl is really scared. The med team places the AED pads onto her chest and back (anterior-posterior position of pads). The defibrillator is charged and the doctor uses the machine to shock her. It is a small one shock and there is no response. The med team sets the machine higher and higher and shocks the poor girl again and again. She continues gasping for air is in pain and visibly scared. When it is too painful for the patient they relax her. They continue the sequence of defibs but soon realize the patient’s heart has gone into vfib. They start CPR immediately with strong chest compressions, ambu bagging and continue using the defibrillator with AED pads. There is no response after many cycles. The medical team removes her hose and jeans and continue the resuscitation procedure on the full naked patient. They start using the manual defibrillator too. After more cycles of CPR, bagging and shocks the patient’s pulse returns and she is ready for transport to the ICU.
