But now Kiara feels dizzy again and she wants the nurse to double check if she is really ok. She leaves the door open which is lucky because just after the call Kiara's heart goes into full CA. The nurse arrives to find Kiara on the floor. She runs back for her AED machine and then starts a resus procedure on her young neighbor. She turns on the AED machine and follows the instructions. She cuts off her shirt and bra, then places the AED electrodes onto her chest and plugs in the connector. When the machine gives the order she pushes the button and Kiara's young body twitches. There is no real response following the shock. Eve calls the ambulance and starts CPR immediately alternating with some MTM. There are visible effects on Kiara's chest, and the maneuver works. She continues CPR and MTM. Finally, the AED brakes her rhythm with instructions for further shock and Eve performs another round on her with no response. The paramed arrives and they hook her up to the heart monitor and place a BP cuff. They remove the AED pads and continue CPR and ambu bagging her. Soon the defibrillator charges but there is still no response. The nurse is very nervous about her young neighbor and she also tries to assist the paramedics. Following more cycles of unsuccessful CPR - bagging and defibrillations they prepare for an intubation procedure. As the ET tube is inserted into her mouth, at the very last moment just before the ET tube goes really deep, Kiara starts coughing. Her pulse returns to normal and she is breathing normally. Now she is finally ready to transfer to the hospital! A very nice on location resus scene first by a neighbor with AED and MTM, and then with parameds too.
