In this second episode of Kyra Prepped for Open Heart -- You've Got the Wrong Patient! She is resting in recovery room following her surgery wearing a pink bouffant cup and O2 mask. She has bad dreams following the surgery, and starts breathing heavily under the mask. As she wakes up and realizes she's been switched as the patient. Kyra removes the O2 mask and removes the leads too. She attempts to get out from the bed and plans to call the police to arrest Hillary. However after just a few steps she gasps for air, grabs her chest and falls to the floor. In the next scene Kyra is wheeled down to the OR with a ruptured heart valve. In the OR, the surgical team removes the O2 mask and the surgeon tells to her what is happening. Kyra softly calls out Hillarys name to the team while The med team hook her up to the heart monitor and places the black rubber mask onto her face instructing her to count back from 100. The intubation process begins, and the Dr. inserts an LMA into Kyra's airway. They affix it with tape and also tape her eyes. The surgery begins. Soon Kyra suddenly goes into cardiac arrest again. The medical team starts the resus procedure immediately with CPR. The defibrillator is charged, but there is no response following the first round. Following more cycles of CPR and defibs, her pulse returns. The medical team finishes the surgery. Kyra is now in the recovery room again. The med team comes in and checks her vitals. She tells the med team that Hillary switched her. The doctor and nurse feel a responsibility to act on this.
