Lia arrives home feeling dizzy, nauseaus and with chest pain. She prepares a bath and calls her friend Sentina and asked her to jump in with her because she isn't feeling well. She lays in the hot water. Her heart starts beat irregularly. Lia gasps for air and grabs her chest but in the next few seconds her heart goes into full CA. She slowly sinks in the water. Sentina arrives to find her. SHe immediately calls the ambulance but cannot move her from the bathtub. When the parameds arrive Sentina holds her friend's head above the water. The paramed team helps take her out of the tub and lays her on the floor. They wipe her body and starts resus, but first they try to remove any water from the patient's lungs. CPR is initiated along with ambu bagging. The med team places the AED pads and after the first round there is no response. They attempt a few more cycles of CPR protocol and the patient's weak pulse returns. The med team puts an O2 mask on the patient and prepares a 12 lead ECG. Lia has a heart attack and is breathing heavily. Suddenly her heart flatlines again. The med team continues CPR with the ResQCPR Pump and more ambu bagging. They use the AED on the patient's heart multiple times and perform more cycles of the CPR - bagging until finally the patient's pulse returns to normal and is ready for transport to the hospital.
