Nurses Betsy and Edina start to examine her, checking her BP and prepping her for an ECG exam. They give her O2 as well. When all the leads have been placed on her chest, the ECG starts and Edina realizes immediately Nicky has atrial fibrillation. Nurse Nicky immediately understands the seriousness of her condition and they stars to prep her for a synchronized cardioversion nurse Edina places the AED pads onto her chest. Betsy start to insert an IV and administers medication to relax her. When this narcotic starts taking effect Nicky start to feel "high" and funny. Soon she starts to fall resting. When she is deep enough resting, Nurse Edina sets up the defibrillator. Following the first shock Nicky moans in pain but in her rest. There is no effect, and she is still fibrillating. They continue the treatment with more AED shocks, and they steth Nicky too. When Nicky's heart unexpectedly starts to Vfib they begin CPR on her with ambu bagging. Edina removes the AED pads and charges the manual defibrillator. They use a lot of gel... Nicky's heart flatlines following the shock. Edina and Betsy fight for their colleague's life with CPR and ambu bagging along with more and more rounds of defibrillation. Finally her pulse returns! Nurse Nicky is a patient again!
