Following the second round Sonja continues to not have a normal sinus rhythm. The med team preps Sonja for the third cardioversion. Following the shock Sonja starts to gasp for air and moan and suddenly her breathing stops. The medical team starts to ambu bag her and check her pulse. The head Nurse starts CPR immediately while the other nurse bags her. They remove her hospital gown so they can work more easily on the now fully nude patient. The CPR and ambu bagging continue (more cycles of CPR with interlocked fingers) and the defibrillator charges again but there is no response following the first round. The med team must perform many more more cycles of CPR - bagging and defibrillations to stabilize her condition. Finally her sinus rhythm returns and looks stable.
