Tiffany is in the ER following a car accident. She moans in pain, as the med team rolls her into the ER on the stretcher. She is wearing an Ambu Cervical Collar, BP cuff and 3 leads placed, her left leg fixed with brace and bandage. The med team places her on the exam bed and start cutting off all of her clothes, hooking up her heart monitor, inserting an IV and placing an 02 mask onto her face. They examine her body up and down. It is painful to the patient and she moans in pain which they try to address. Suddenly Tiffany's heart rate starts falling and she stops breathing. The med team starts ambu bagging her but soon realize the patient has no pulse! They start CPR immediately with strong chest compressions, and continue bagging her. 3M defib pads are placed, the defibrillator is charged but there is response. They place a CPR board under her back and continue the resus procedure. They must perform a few more cycles of CPR - bagging and defibs. Finally the patient's pulse returns.
