The med team listens her heart with steth. and suddenly her heart rate goes up to about 200 Bpm and she starts gasping for air. The doctors use medication to stop her attack but does not seem to work. They must cardivert her again. There is no time to relax her, so they must unfortunately shock the conscious patient. The defibrillator is charged and Vera is moans in pain following the shock, but there is no positive response otherwise. Suddenly her heart goes to Vfib. Nurse Nicky starts CPR immediately while nurse Betsy ambu bags her. A long fight for Vera's life begins with many cycles of CPR and strong chest compressions, and a lot of defibrillations with sharp reactions. The time is running but the patient does not seem to respond and they finally intubate her. Nurse Betsy performs the intubation procedure and when the ET tube is afixed and taped they continue CPR and more defibrillations. Many cycles more from all camera angles. Vera's heart is flat lined yet. Following a defibrillation as her heart goes back into Vfib. Nurse Nicky re-charges the defibrillator and shocks her heart again. The patients pulse finally returns. They steth her heart again, leave her relaxed and hook her up to the respirator. The patient is ready for transport to the ICU.
