I've been sitting waiting for ever and my patience is running thin. My sandals slap against the sole of my foot loud and crisp over and over at a staccato beat. I slow down when I think that I finally got it, and then I realize that I haven't, so the slapping speeds up again. Every once in a while I tap my fingernails on the chair, keeping time with my growing frustrations.
