Rather than putting my trust in the other, I suddenly realized that I was trustworthy. My safety was in my hands because I choose people who would never hurt me in that state.

I want to note that I got into BDSM after at least a year of trauma integration therapy working through multiple sexual traumas. The idea was to experience helplessness where I was actually empowered, to help rewire myself.
This experience was pivotal, and I am forever grateful to Jake for his time, patience, and incredible care.
