Alarus has come to mock her latest conquest. A would be super-villain named Tiberius Tomson that was finished before he ever got started. He had some brilliant plans but his bumbling minions led Alarus right to him. Of course the failure swears vengeance as Alarus gloats, walking away from him as he shakes the bars in impotent rage.

It is only a year later and somehow Tomson has escaped. Alarus follows a hunch and goes back to the hide out where she first took him down. She assumes he will have gone there with some sad plan to set a trap for her.
