On the way to the office my car broke down. I took off my heels and found old sneakers and socks in the car, changed my shoes and continued on foot. I went into the office and got to work. And only when I looked under the table I realized that there were holes in my socks. My big toes kept falling out, no matter how hard I tried to cover them, trying not to let anyone notice. And my socks kept slipping off my heels. Every now and then I tried to hide them, putting on sneakers, then pulled my feet out again.
