I screamed in pain and realized that I had badly bruised my foot, and maybe even broken my toes. It was very painful to stand on my foot. What should I do in this situation? It seems like there should be crutches somewhere in the car. But after searching the car, I didn't find them. I had no choice but to overcome the pain, occasionally stopping to rest, lame, and walk back.
