Meanwhile, unknown to Vivian, someone approaches her vehicle, pops the hood and pulls the coil wire.
Vivian returns to her car after not finding much, which is odd since her partner told her she had reason to believe some solid evidence would be found. As Vivian gets situated, she's curious why her partner gave her this car because the area doesn't look that beat up. It may not be the safest place but still, odd. She's about to start the car when she gets a text message. She reads it aloud, "You were getting too close to the truth. It was either you or me."
Vivian realizes her partner sold her out! She's got to get out of here! She turns the key to the engine and it just spins over. "Oh my god. Fuck me!" She tries again, desperately pumping the gas pedal and begging the car to start! It's not starting at all and it won't start because she's been sabotaged! She aggressively pumps the pedal in a futile attempt to bring the car to life. At one point, she holds the pedal to the floor with such her butt comes off the seat.
