Part one of two. Rachel is a wholesome, loving step-mom whose step-son should have been home several hours ago. She phones some his friends to see if he is with them. They all answer in the negative. Afterwards, she receives a call from a mystery man. He tells Rachel he is holding her step-son and will hurt him if she does not pay a ransom. When he names a figure, Rachel begs him to lower it.
