Once again, my life is affected by corona. My pony was diagnosed with covid19 two months ago and since then I did not have ride - but it gets even worse for me: His stamina, which I build in long and hard training sessions, suffered. Now I have to start from almost scratch.
To counter the effects of long-covid, I put a new training program into place:
Riding until the pony breaks down - and repeat.
After a small warmup, containing trotting and some dressage, I start gallopping. I am helping the pony with my whip and my spurs to keep on enduring the gallop, but his stamina is too...

But no matter his exhaustion: I keep on gallopping until he breaks down utterly exhausted and in tears.
What a lucky pony! Hardly anybody receives such professional help countering the long term effects of covid-19.

Schon wieder ist mein Leben durch Corona aus der Bahn geworfen worden. Meinem Pony wurde vor zwei Monaten Corona diagnostiziert. Seit dem hatte ich keinen Ausritt mehr - aber noch schlimmer für mich: Seine Ausdauer, diee ich in langen und harten Trainingssessions aufgebaut hatte, litt darunter. Jetzt muss ich fast von vorne anfangen.
Um diee Langzeitcoronafolgen zu bekämpfen, habe ich ein neues Trainingsprogramm aufgelegt:
Reiten bis das Pony zusammenbricht - und wiederholen.
Nach einem kurzen Aufwärmen, mit Trott und etwas Dressur, fange ich an zu galoppieren. Ich helfe dem Pony mit Peitsche und Sporen, damit es den Galopp durchhält. Seine Ausdauer ist jedoch so schlecht, dass es nach einigen Runden zusammenbricht. Aber trotz seiner Erschöpfung: Ich galoppiere weiter bis er völlig erschöpft und unter Tränen zusammenbricht.
Was für ein Glückspilz / Glückspony! Kaum jemand erhält so professionelle Hilfe um den Langzeitfolgen von Corona zu begegnen.
