She continually beats Her new pony because he is having difficulty learning proper techniques and keeping up with the old pony. To add even more suffering to Her new pony, She pulls him back and forth across the room by his reins with continuous whipping to try and make him understand the need to move faster. She runs him to total exhaustion. At the end, Ariel sits on the back of the new pony like a human chair because it is the one thing he seems able to do. This is a very entertaining series!
