Spider-Girl is on the case when a pile of stolen loot is found in an abandoned warehouse. She examines the contents to ensure all the stolen loot is accounted for, when a mysterious orb lights up, rendering her powerless. She falls to the floor as the mysterious Dark Phantom walks in to gloat over her. Soon, she finds herself well bound to a dark chair with black ropes, unable to use her spider strength to break free.
