The Bad Guy wants to talk with Francesca alone, so he has to get Marie out of the way for a little while. So he devises a simple yet effective method of binding her. Marie gets hogtied with a set of thick wrist and ankle hospital cuffs and one strap binds the cuffs around her bare feet to her cuffed wrists. Poor Marie is left alone in the bedroom to struggle, trying to escape and save her roomie. But the thick cuffs and the position of the buckle on the strap render her fingers unable to reach the buckle and escape.
