For a few years Sarah has been smoking on and off. Recently, 2 months ago in fact an addiction to cigarettes began to grip her. Sarah is now 19 and in the past she has been a social smoker. Now she finds it hard to accept that she has a life-long addiction to cigarettes. During the shoot (although not in this scene) Sarah describes herself as a social smoker and maintains that she only smokes when other people are smoking. However, when I ask her during an interview sequence (which will be released soon) do you smoke every day now, she replies “pretty much yeah”!
