Alexis is headed off to an audition in her Bug when she is met with trouble. She cranks andd revs it but it can't be controlled by her constant pumping. To make matters worse she tears her nylon stockings during the drama (5min mark) and rips off the right leg and shoe in aggravation, only to rip the other leg off removing the other shoe, a couple of minutes later. Now barefooted she finally manages to get the car running, but you the viewer has not seen enough and ties the car down her to smoke the tires in a futile attempt to free it.
