Dressed in a black business skirt, white blouse, pantyhose and sneakers, Iris Sekhmet is a real estate agent, checking out a new track of land at the end of a work day. She's been told there is swamp and quicksand, but all she finds is dried up land - till she takes that first, fatal step, on what looks like dry land. She sinks steadily, while trying to struggle free, going from disbelief to all-out panic. But in the end, the quicksand wins, pulling Iris under. There is a brief after-the-submergence scene at the end, showing Iris rise from the mire.
