Master is a very generous man and offers hospitality in his house to a few students in change of some help in the house; when Master is not satisfied with any of the boys’ job, his duty is to punish their poor performance. One day, instead of carrying on a pruning job he was supposed to do in the garden, Johnny is instead chatting with his friends about Master’s trials; the girl can’t believe what they’re saying but it is not long before Master enters the room, grabs Johnny by the ear and in front of the girl’s amazed eyes, he proceeds to strap the boy severely with his belt.
