During the Christmas holidays Pavel has been out skiing with friends and not paying adequate attention as required to his studies. To discourage him from doing this again Pavel is severely punished with a cane on the soles of his bare feet (bastinado) and then spanked on his bare ass by hand. The master still not satisfied that he has learnt his lesson decides he needs another punishment session. Pavel is again punished on the soles of his bare feet (bastinado) this time with the belt after he receives a spanking by hand while over the master's knee.
