Elizabeth made plans to celebrate step-daughter Rachel’s birthday with her in Las Vegas. They went out to dinner together to celebrate Rachel’s birthday, but Rachel’s phone kept blowing up with texts from her friends (who also flew out to Vegas). After appetizers were ordered, Rachel tells her step-mom that she’s going to go chat with her friends for a few minutes and that she’ll be right back. Rachel never came back.
