Stefania doesn't move and I realize she needs further attention. I pull her out of the pool by her arms and lay the girl on the pool deck. I check for a pulse and a heartbeat then begin CPR. I do five mouth to mouth breaths then 15 chest compressions. Still no response from Stefania. I begin to panic repeating the resuscitation cycle several times - five mouth to mouth breaths with fifteen chest compressions. I pull her clothing off hoping this helps and I beg her to wake up. Finally the pretty girl awakens with a gush of water escaping her lungs. She chokes and coughs up the water as I tell her what happened and how I rescued her by performing CPR.
