To ease her pain, and get a good look at her bottom, he gives her a shot while she's bending over the edge of the exam table.Thinking that perhaps her pain is due to ovulation, he takes her down the hall to the ultrasound room and gives her a vaginal ultrasound.There are no cysts on her ovaries so he's going to have to do a complete pelvic and rectal exam. Starting with the usual abdominal palpation and breast exam, he makes certain there is nothing obviously wrong.Before giving her the pelvic exam, Dr. Fish informs her that he's going to give her the first of two enemas. That way there will be some time before the second one and she might tolerate it better. Lisa complains during the entire administration of one quart and is finally sent off to the bathroom.With her feet in the stirrups, Dr. Fish thoroughly examines Lisa's labia, and external genitals. Then he inserts his finger deeply into her vagina, feeling for any abnormal mass. Next, a well lubricated finger is inserted into her rectum at the same time as he feels insider her vagina. In order to see her cervix and do a Pap smear, Dr. Fish inserts a speculum into her vagina. Her cervix is swabbed with a long q-tip.Lisa's second cleansing enema is administered with no less whining than the first one. She takes the 1500ml complaining of cramps the entire time. Finally, laying on her left side with her knees drawn up to her chest, Lisa is given a proctoscope exam. Dr. Fish inserts the long metal probe into her rectum to see if her external hemorrhoids are mirrored by internal ones. The painful examination reveals nothing abnormal about her rectum. With nothing obviously wrong with her physically, Dr. Fish sends Lisa on her way, knowing full well that she will be returning again someday.
