Understandably, the customer is livid and hauls the young man indoors for a dressing-down. His first instinct is to make a phone call and complain to the lad's employer, but the young gardener pleads with him, saying that he needs this job. "If you were my step-son, I'd give you such a spanking that you wouldn't sit down for a week!" says the furious customer.
