She gets a call from her date letting her know he's on his way, but also informing her of their dinner destination. To her disappointment, she discovers he has picked a healthy restaurant and she knows she will be left hungry. She eyes her plate of snack cakes she had set aside for dessert later, but maybe a few won't hurt as an appetizer.
