Now available as a complete story, this is the tale of the novice superheroine (Lady Bat) who wishes to join the League of Amazing Women and applies for membership. Being a wealthy socialite, Lady Bat wants to win over the hearts and minds of the citizens of Tiedsville just as easily as she won over the hearts of her fellow millionaires with her dazzling charm and elegant style. After explaining her utility purse (which contains weapons and tools resembling the contents of a lady's purse, including an exploding hairnet that turns into a real net when it's hurled through the air, and a lipstick that doubles as a high-powered laser emitter) to American Avenger, Lady Bat asks if she can be admitted into the league. American Avenger says that the vetting process is much more thorough than a simple interview, and so American Avenger starts asking Lady bat about her crime-fighting history. As it turns out, Lady Bat has a few issues, including her unhealthy psychological obsession with the DarkKnight Detective (whom she believes are both 'fated' to become married' as their true superhero destiny) and her penchant for not taking matters with the criminal underworld too seriously because of her sheltered stature as a wealthy woman of fine upbringing. On cue, a supervillain arrives at the suite where the interviews are taking place and insists in robbing the millionaire Lady Bat of all her worldly wealth.

American Avenger recognizes the villain as the lecherous Dr. Remorae and he comes with a henchman who challenges both superheroines with his physical strength. Fighting against Lady Bat though the criminal seriously underestimates the fighting power of Katherine Kane and soon she uses judo and aikido to take the thug down. As Batwoman revels in her easy victory though she doesn't see the criminal crawl over to where Batwoman's exploding hairnet was left discarded on the couch. Grabbing it, he hurls it at both superheroines and true to form it explodes in mid-air, becoming a REAL net which traps both superheroines and keeps them from escaping. Helpless now, the evil Dr. Remorae taunts both superheroines and soon places them in a diabolical bondage trap, with a specially-prepared timer set to send them both to Kingdom Come in just a few short minutes. Bound and with little hope for escape, will this be the end of the two superheroines? No! The resourceful Lady Bat manages to affect an escape and defuses the incendiary bomb with just seconds to spare, but at the same time leaves herself open for a final encounter with Dr. Remorae. The criminal mastermind captures both heroines and has them remove the articles of their clothing, taking their power items so that they can never escape again. The leering supervillain has both women remove their sexy crimefighting boots, and then their gloves, then Batwoman's precious belt and finally her beautiful burgandy cape! Then while completely vulnerable, he has both superheroines slowly remove their masks, revealing their secret identities to the world. The shamed and horrified superheroines are to sit on the couch while Dr. Remorae coats Batwoman's spandex-stockinged feet with a liquid solution which will induce a deep and lasting slumber. Ordering Lady Bat to rub her feet in the face of American Avenger, Lady Bat reluctantly does so, giving her prospective employer a fateful dose of sweet-smelling fumes from the dark brown bottle Dr. Remorae used just minutes earlier! American Avenger, recognizing the distinct and sickly-alluring smell of chlorinated hydromide, soon goes under with a few protests and whimpers along the way, and then it is Batwoman's turn to be defeated as well. In only her yellow catsuit, with no equipment or crimefighting arsenal at her disposal, the wealthy-yet-unmasked crimefighter goes down as well. All is seemingly lost as American Avenger is dragged across the carpet to the awaiting van and Lady Bat is carried over the shoulder to the same vehicle.
