Topaz came to the club to tryout for cat-fighting but with a hatred of hair-pulling and being an experienced judo girl she opted to take part in competitive ladies wrestling rather than cat-fighting. And what a find she was! An athletic, fit, talented woman with strength beyond her petite size. Lush on the other hand was a trainee professional boxer and had previously been a cat-fighter with us. She was quick & determined, super strong, but as it transpired, no match for the super-talented Topaz. From the very start of the 15-minute bout, Topaz dominated. Her judo experience gave her the edge with speed and skills in takedowns and her sensational fitness and strength kept her going for the full duration in what proved to be a demolition of poor Lush. In fairness to Lush she was no pushover. Although well beaten early in the bout, she made Topaz work for every pin and every submission. Even to the end she defended with every bit of strength and stamina she had. Not the most technical of bouts ever - but entertaining grappling, pins, scissors and nelsons were seen and implemented with skill and purpose.
