This re-match came about as a result of Jessica being offered an opponent of her choice before she went away for a long summer break. To everyone's surprise she chose a rematch against Siran, who she had lost to only a couple of months earlier, and who arguably would be the toughest opponent on the roster! So the match was set up and these two, with power and aggression beyond their slim frames met in the ring for what proved to be one hell of an encounter.
Right from the off these two WildcatzTM flew at each other with a definite point to prove. The first round was a power struggle with the women rolling round the ring often changing dominant positions. The skill of these two was immediately apparent as was the nastiness, with Siran's hair first to suffer! Round two started with a intensity that nearly wiped out the cameraman and sent the fighters crashing to the deck. Jessica unleashed some evil slaps that seemed to take Siran by surprise and many a fighter would have submitted to Jessica's scissors, smothers and arm bar attempts. But not the feisty and determined Siran - she countered with a skull crushing head scissors from the most improbable of angles.
As the fighters launched themselves at each other at the start of round three it was clear there was no love lost and an ever-growing intensity to the fight. Possibly encouraged by their corner girls (Storm for Jessica and Lucy Chaos for Siran) during the break both fighters emerged with a more fire and passion. It was this round that saw the first submission of the fight - and the anger on the face of the one submitting was clear to see at the restart. As ever, with the first submission scored the gloves came off and the intensity stepped up yet more.
Rounds 4, 5, 6 & 7 carried on at the same pace with the same intensity. As the fight grew towards a finish, the urgency to gain submissions increased and how one fighter in particular resisted holds and moves that would literally have popped the ribs of lesser competitors has to be admired. An epic 7th round finished with these two brilliant WildcatzTM fighters exhausted, red-faced and sweaty. But incredibly both wanting a re-re-match!
