Three long-haul truckers are discussing morbid discovery which affected their passage through isolated Route 16. “Rescue crew was pulling a woman from a ditch off the side of the road.” one trucker tells the others who listen with rapt attention. “I couldn’t make out if she was still breathing or not. Cops under those bright lights just motioned me to keep on rollin’..” Stunned, Doreen nearly drops the carefully stacked plates which line her arm. Only much later does anyone learn the true story behind the woman in the ditch. Amongst the disturbing evidence is a video – probably shot by her assailant – which shows riveting footage of the woman’s monumental struggle to stay alive..
