On September 8, 2011 a thick marine layer hangs over the coastline in Oceana del Mar, California. The swirling mist creates patterns in the atmosphere. Two residents of the Darla Page Apartments, Kristal Summers and Goldie Blair , stare out the window at the shifting fog as it commingles with the ocean spray.
