American Express has the worst debt collection practices of any credit card company in the United States. Producer Tanya Danielle worked out a payment plan with them. They kept harassing her with phone calls even though she was sending them hundreds of dollars each month. To add injury to insult they also reported to the credit bureaus that they had charged off her account as a "bad debt".
