She comes home from working a double shift at her waitressing job and she's so tired she can barely stay awake. Dixie is Tired.

She comes home from working a double shift at her waitressing job and she's so tired she can barely stay awake. Her feet are so sore from wearing her high heels all day but when she comes into her home she is greeted by her husband and family and she needs to make them breakfast. She cooks food for everyone and drinks coffee trying to stay awake and yawning through her smile. She needs to eat, too, but when she finally fixes her own plate the cat is on the last available chair so she just eats standing up despite her exhaustion. Once everyone is fed and sent off on their days and the kitchen is cleaned up she realizes it's time for her to go back to work and she hasn't even had time to rest.

She walks uphill back to her job on her poor, sore feet and gets there just in time for the morning rush. She has to work a double shift again so she spends all day on her feet, waiting table and cleaning. Walking back and forth in her heels. She's finally finished in the middle of the night and walks back home. When she arrives her husband is up and hungry so she makes him some food before he has to go to work. She cleans the kitchen again and gets her family off to school and work and then, finally, she gets to rest. Not much because she has to go back to work later, but at least she can finally take off her high heels and rest for a couple hours. She stumbles to the bench in side the door and slowly, painfully peels her heels off her feet. She's been wearing them and on her feet constantly for days now and not only is she exhausted but her feet hurt so bad she can't even straighten her toes all the way. She hobbles down the hall and up the stairs to her bed and collapses on it. She exhaustedly pulls off her ripped, overly worn pantyhose and props her throbbing feet on a pillow. She sets her alarm for a couple hours and finally allows herself to rest.
