Maia is a bit apprehensive to try her first hot water bottle, especially given how far along her pregnancy is. She sets out to expand it by lung power, puffing it as tight as she can, then releasing the pressure, in an effort to stretch it. Unfortunately, even after many cycles, it becomes clear she needs a head start with the foot pumps. Once she has gotten it to a sufficient size, and sufficiently low pressure, she starts blowing again, and alternates to the foot pumps to keep from getting too tired. As so often happens, the pop comes as quite a surprise.
