She begins by unwrapping a fresh one, removing the stopper, and attempting to stretch it with her hands. This leaves her wondering how she will ever be able to expand it with her breath. Nevertheless, she puts the nozzle to her face, and blows. She realizes that she need to rotate it, and starts anew. She takes a deep breath, fills her cheeks, and pushes breath after breath into it, until she can't hold it anymore. Each time she does this, she manages to inflate it much larger than before, and gains confidence that the next time might take it all the way to bursting. On her final attempt, she manages to relax and settle into a rhythm of breathing, which is only interrupted by a spectacular explosion, and some unexpected gymnastics on the part of the ruptured rubber bag.
