However, after a while, she realizes that she needs to save some energy for other experiments, and switches things over to the high-pressure foot pumps. This gets things under way, at a cheek-bursting 3.6psi, and as the vessel grows larger, the pressure tapers down to around 3psi. The explosion is quite deep and loud, and she examines how much the rubber stretched at the point of failure. In all, a very fruitful experiment.
