Keilani has brought an assortment of shoes to the laboratory to see which ones maximize her comfort and control of the pedals of a stickshift car. She begins by working each of the pedals in a pair of flat thin-strap/toe-loop sandals, then in a pair of low wedge-heeled thong sandals, then a pair of high-heeled dress sandals, then some flat thong sandals, then some flat thong sandals, and finally, some Keds-style sneakers.
