The trip is underway after I had the van's brakes fixed in the clip FIX THOSE SPONGY BRAKES , and now I'm driving down the desert highway in my designer mary jane flats when I notice my gas pedal is acting funny. The van is speeding up but my foot is off the pedal. I jab at the pedal but the van has a mind of its own. I try to slow down with the brakes but they quickly overheat.
