Her husband is known to be an "extractor of words and deeds" through means his victims would rather avoid. The man knows his wife seriously hates to be tickled. So he uses this fear/hate of tickling against her to 'extract' her renewed commitment to their marriage. She's a very argumentative wife whose will is broken by extreme tickling.
