My ex-partner used to rent garage space from my family. I say rent; that was the arrangement however very little in the way of money was ever paid and this became a bone of contention when We split up. In the end He gave up and basically abandoned the garage.

I had an idea there might be a car in there right from the outset and when I decided to start making these videos I had one eye on seeing whether there was anything I might be able to use. Fast forward months from my first recording and I have finally found the time with the help of friends to break the lock off and have a look inside. Most of the belongings in there are rubbish, however there are TWO cars; one so old I had no idea what it was (it transpires it is an Austin......in lots of bits) whilst the other is a Renault 5! Neither of these cars have moved in what has to be at least 8 years, maybe longer.

Here then is the first video with that little Gallic cutie, the Renault. For fans of Me pumping the foot pump I have started by dealing with a flat rear tyre before attempting to get it started. In both this video and the cranking video to come I wear vintage brown stockings (I'm quite the fan of wearing vintage hosiery) with black and white open toe sandals and a black and grey dress.
