The trap is set to take away supergirl's powers. Kobe Lee is the bait and firmly bound and struggling on the couch while the scientist handcuffs himself. Supergirl arrives to save Kobe and starts to untie her. But what Supergirl doesn't know is the rope is laced with liquid kryptonite as as Kobe is finally freed, Supergirl slumps over with her powers gone.
